Find the right senior living community — without the overwhelm.

Free, expert-guided placement for assisted living, memory care, and post-hospital transitions across the San Francisco Bay Area. Backed by 25 years of clinical healthcare experience.

No cost to families. Ever. Facilities pay our referral fee — not you.
How it works

Three steps. Zero pressure.

No generic lists. No paid placements. Just a conversation, real research, and personal accompaniment.

01

Tell us what you need

Share your loved one's care needs, location preferences, and budget. We listen first — no pressure, no sales pitch. Just a conversation about what matters most to your family.

02

We do the research

We personally tour and vet every facility we recommend. We match your family to communities based on care quality, staff ratios, and real-world fit — not who pays us the most.

03

Visit, choose, move in

We arrange tours, attend with you, and help you ask the right questions. When you find the right fit, we coordinate the transition so nothing falls through the cracks.

Why families choose us

25 years of clinical experience — not a marketing funnel.

25 Years of Clinical Experience

Unlike online referral services, our founder has 25 years of hands-on clinical healthcare experience. We understand care acuity levels, medication management, and what separates a good facility from a great one.

We Tour Every Facility Personally

We never recommend a community we haven't walked through ourselves. We check staffing levels, cleanliness, resident engagement, and the things that don't show up on a website.

100% Free to Families

Our service costs you nothing. Facilities pay a referral fee when your loved one moves in — the same rate they pay whether you use us or not. Your monthly cost is identical either way.

Local Bay Area Expertise

We know the difference between a memory care community in Walnut Creek and one in San Mateo. We know which facilities have waitlists, which ones just renovated, and which ones to avoid.

We Stay With You After Move-In

Our relationship doesn't end at move-in. We check in at 30, 60, and 90 days to make sure your loved one is adjusting well and the community is meeting expectations.

Hospital Discharge in 24 Hours

For urgent post-hospital placements, we work with discharge planners at UCSF, Stanford, John Muir, Alta Bates, and Kaiser to find appropriate placement quickly — reducing readmission risk.

What we help with

Every level of care, matched to need.

Service 01

Assisted Living Placement

For seniors who need help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, medication management, and meals. We match families to licensed Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) across the Bay Area.

Service 02

Memory Care Placement

For seniors with Alzheimer's, dementia, or cognitive decline who need specialized programming and secure environments. We evaluate communities for staff training, ratios, and engagement programs.

Service 03

Post-Hospital Transition

When a hospital discharge happens fast, families are often overwhelmed. We work with discharge planners at UCSF, Stanford, John Muir, Alta Bates, and Kaiser to find appropriate placement in 24 hours.

Service 04

Independent Living Guidance

For active seniors ready to downsize into a community with dining, social activities, and wellness programs — without needing daily care assistance. We help find the right lifestyle fit.

Service 05

Skilled Nursing & Rehab

For seniors needing 24/7 medical care, IV therapy, wound care, or post-surgical rehabilitation. We evaluate skilled nursing facilities for clinical quality, staffing ratios, and CMS star ratings.

Service 06

Family Coordination

Senior placement is often a family decision — with multiple voices, opinions, and concerns. We help align siblings, document decisions, and keep everyone informed throughout the process.

What families say

Real placements. Real families.

Barton made an incredibly stressful time manageable. He toured facilities with us, asked questions we never would have thought of, and helped Mom settle into a community she loves.

— Bay Area Family

After Dad's stroke, the hospital said we had 48 hours to find placement. Barton had three options for us by the next morning. We couldn't have done it without him.

— East Bay Family

What impressed us most was that Barton followed up a month after Mom moved in to make sure everything was going well. No one else does that.

Common questions

What families want to know.

How is this really free? +
Senior living communities pay a referral fee when a resident moves in — typically a percentage of the first month's rent. This fee is the same whether you use a placement advisor or find the community yourself. Your monthly cost is identical either way. We never charge families.
How is Life8maxing different from A Place for Mom? +
Large referral services generate leads online and pass them to communities they have contracts with — often without ever visiting the facility. We personally tour every community we recommend, and our founder has 25 years of clinical healthcare experience. We work for your family, not the facility's marketing budget.
How quickly can you help? +
For planned transitions, we typically present options within 3–5 days. For urgent hospital discharges, we can have vetted options within 24 hours. We understand that timing matters.
Do you only recommend certain facilities? +
No. We evaluate communities across the Bay Area based on quality, staffing, and fit — not contracts or kickbacks. If a facility isn't right for your family, we won't recommend it, regardless of what they pay us.
What areas do you cover? +
We currently cover the full San Francisco Bay Area — San Francisco, the Peninsula, East Bay, South Bay, and Marin. We are expanding to Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County in 2026.
Can you help if my loved one has dementia? +
Absolutely. Memory care placement requires specialized knowledge — understanding secured environments, staff dementia training certifications, and behavioral management approaches. With our clinical background, this is one of our strongest areas.
How does this connect to Life8maxing's longevity work? +
Life8maxing is a longevity system across all four phases of life — Launch (18–30), Build (30–50), Harvest (50–70), and Legacy (70+). Senior placement is the hands-on service offering for the Legacy phase. The same person who teaches Zone 2 protocols and the 4 Horsemen framework is the one walking your loved one's tour.
